Kevin emphasizes the importance of constantly working to improve your game and using your mind to increase your basketball knowledge in order to become a great basketball player.
If you want to excel in basketball you have to always be working to find ways of getting an edge on the competition. In basketball it is very important to always be watching high level basketball to improve your game. The more basketball that you watch the better you will get at visualizing the game and understanding fundamental aspects of basketball that you must have to be successful at the next level. You will have a better sense of what should happen and start to do the right things without having to think about it. The key is to make sure that you are building the right habits.
For young players coming up you must really start thinking about going all in on your diet. Junk food and foods/drinks high in sugar may have gotten you to this point but they are not going to get you to where you want to go with basketball. In order for your body to recover properly and make any progress you have to fuel your body the right way at the right time. You will be preparing your body for the next workout. By focusing on your diet as soon as possible you will get a head start on something that will matter even more the older you get with overall health regardless of sports. You will also be potentially preventing injuries by fueling your body properly. The best part about focusing on your diet is that you will feel better and stronger.
For those of you willing to put in the work and make theses sacrifices it will pay off in a big way. You just have to be willing to make those sacrifices.
